Owen
Owen James Finch was born 02/07/2015. He was a very healthy and smiley little boy, who was very loved and bought so much joy into our lives.
His Grandad Neil was especially very excited to finally have another boy in the family, after being dominated by girls for the past 30 years.
Unfortunately 13 months later, our circumstances took a turn for the worst and our nightmare began. Owen’s Mum Sarah went to get Owen up ready for Nursery one morning, to find that he had passed away in his sleep. From this point our hearts were shattered and we knew our lives would never be the same again.

Sands Charity
Owen’s Mum – Sarah, had no idea how she was going to get through each day and everyone kept telling her that ‘things will get easier over time! It wasn’t until a lovely lady called Maggie from the charity SANDS came to Sarah’s house, introduced herself, and offered her support, it made Sarah realise that maybe she can get through this.
SANDS charity has allowed Sarah to talk about her gorgeous boy and meet other parents, who she is now proud to call her friends, who have also lost a child. SANDS also offered Sarah the support, when she decided to try for another baby, which she was petrified about. Thanks to this support Sarah now has two beautiful rainbow babies, Owen’s sisters Freya & Isla. Owen will always be spoken about, included in our family, and forever in our hearts. Owen at about 1 year of age being fed by his Nana – Sally and Grandad – Neil. We looked after Owen 3 days a week after Sarah Paternity Leave, so we developed a very strong bond with him. Little did we know that within a few weeks, Owen would pass away in his sleep. We miss him every day.
